A friend recently brought my attention to a seemingly forgotten piece of decor in my home. It's a simple, handwritten quote in a wooden frame that was gifted to me by a dear friend when I got married.
"The seasons change and you change, but the Lord abides, evermore the same, and the streams of His love are as deep, as broad, and as full as ever." - Charles Spurgeon
I was tempted to wipe the dust off of the frame before snapping a picture, but that's not real life. Real life is a dust-covered frame sitting quietly under the soft light of a lamp with words that bear eternal significance. It's funny how we can see such important things so often that they become common and unnoticed. I find it fitting that I rediscovered this gem as I debated beginning to write again.
So many changes have occurred over the past 19 months.
Since my last post, I took a summer job managing the city pool
Traveled
Taught 3rd Grade Reading at the local elementary school
Celebrated another pregnancy
Celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary
Became an Aunt
Gave birth to a son
Visited with friends and family
and became a stay-at-home-mom.
though the seasons have changed and I have changed, the Lord has abided, evermore the same, and the streams of His love are as deep, as broad and as full as ever.
